LSM-RP uses a real life system that allows players to be involved (game side obviously) in a mafious system which consists in families, rackets, extortion, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, corruption and much more, and, on the other hand, the 'good' side, police dept, government.
A player that joins the server builds his own life, gaining respect and money, creating relationships with mafia members. Obviously a player starts from nothing, with a small amount of money, without licenses (driving, weapons etc..) and, with time, he can improve his character, also enjoying mafia or justice way ... or something in between.

~~ Account Rules
- You can have multiple Accounts, but dont do them to DM or doing Shit. IP's of DMers & Cheaters will be checked.
- Proper Roleplay Names , examply John_Miller - Don't use names like Don_Montana , Extreme_Killer
-- Use Capital letters. Wrong: john_miller Right: John_Miller
- If you forgot your password, contact an admin and provide proofs.

~~Server Rules

Here are some rules that you must respect

- No Cheating. (IP Range Ban.)
- Abusing Bugs (Account Ban if no report to Admins. On Types like: Cash, etc)

* SpawnKill [SK] - Killing Someone who just spawned. (In a range of 10 Minutes)
* RevengeKill [RK]- If someone killed you, you cant go back instantly and Re-Kill him.
* Drive-By [DB] - Shooting as Passenger from your car, will result in a BAN.

~~Role Play guide

Role-playing

In roleplaying, participants adopt and act out the role of characters, or parts, that may have personalities, motivations, and backgrounds different from their own. Roleplaying is like being in an improvisational drama or free-form theatre, in which the participants are the actors who are playing parts, and the audience.

A role-playing game is a type of game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, they may improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

IC - In Character

In roleplaying games, In Character (or IC) refers to the world of the characters, rather than the world of the players. That is, a character talking to another character is an IC interaction, set within the IC world, while two players talking about a football game or their real lives is an Out of Character ('OOC') interaction.

This is a RP (RolePlay)server, normally you are not just a person sitting at your computer playing a game to see how many kills you can get. You play a character and try and emulate life (loosely of course, we dont all have guns in real life). If you want to speak IC there are a few different ways to do it.

To speak to other characters nearby you just typing normally without any command, or by using "/l <Message>"(when on a phone)
-To advertise by using "/ad <Message>" (This will result in a green line going to all players as an advert for you to sell things, arrange parties etc etc)
-To whisper other characters nearby so only that person hears you is done via "/w <Message>".(Other characters will know you have whispered the other person, but not what you have whispered- to do so use /me whispers to XXX)
-To shout out us "/s <Message>" This extends the range of which you can normally be heard (dont use /s all the time though)

Whilst speaking in any of these forms, do not use accronyms or smilies like lol, wtf, omg, etc or :O :S , doing so will result in any or all of the following. Admin jail, kicks from server or bans from the server (eventually).

OOC - Out Of Character
Out of Character (OOC) is a roleplaying term, referring to the world of the players, rather than the world of the characters. Actions in the game that are described from the point of view of the assumed character are referred to as In Character (IC). Actions or discussion of the character from the player's point of view are OOC.

OOC is used when you are not RPing, when you, as a person sitting at home/work want to talk to others NOT YOUR CHARACTER. Again there are a few ways to do this:

-Local OOC is done by typing " ( " <Message>" this will send a message to players around you, but will include ((Message)) brackets around what you said, to indicate its not to be use for roleplay purposes.
-Global OOC (server wide OOC) is done by simply doing "/o <Message>" The colour of the text for any type of OOC is a different colour, and includes the double brackets to identify it as OOC.

So, the basic rule is, if its your character saying something use an IC method, if its you as a player, use an OOC method. Can be tricky to get used to but it helps the RP along.

NOTE - do not use OOC information for IC purposes.

Also, ID's and /commands and terms like DMing or things to do with admins are OOC and all of these things above need to be said with /b brackets. Using Smiley's or acronyms Incharacter will be punished with admin jail, if you continue and dont stop you will be banned.

Powergamer

A powergamer is a player who tries to force others to participate in role-playing they don't want to engage in. For instance, a player who unilaterally describes his character as doing something with (or to) another character that would usually require the other to play along, such as having a fight or a sexual encounter, is considered to be powergaming. To avoid powergame the best way is to ask other person who you RPing with, if he/she agree for such actions you wish to perform.

Powergaming is also non realistic forcing other player to RP , without giving him/her any chances for their move. As an example of powergame:
/me knocks out everyone around
/me ties XXX up so he can't go anywhere ( Without attempt, and required things to do so )
/me takes out a knife and stabs XXX (Without having knife )
/me is recording a murder ( Without video tape aka movie, or SS, which must be previously recorded rp vise )
/name off ( Without /me is taken as ooc, that means that that you've done noting ic wise to cover yourself. Thinking that you've done and forcing players to do so is powergaming.)

Metagaming

In role-playing games, metagaming is the use of out-of-character knowledge in an in-character situation. A character played by a metagamer does not act in a way that reflects the character's in-game experiences and back-story.

Munchkin

In gaming, a Munchkin is a player who plays what is intended to be a non-competitive game (usually a role-playing game) in an aggressively competitive manner. A munchkin seeks within the context of the game to amass the greatest power, score the most "kills," and grab the most loot, no matter how deleterious their actions are to role-playing, the storyline, fairness, logic, or the other players' fun. The term is used almost exclusively as a pejorative and frequently is used in reference to powergamers and to immature players in general.

Power-leveling
Power-leveling is the process of sustained, fast leveling in computer role-playing games. It is essentially the RPG equivalent of speedrunning, but many role players dislike the practice believing that, as an attempt to "beat" an RPG, it misses the point of role-playing. Also, by power-leveling high over the game developers' intended level, the challenge of the game decreases tremendously.

Driving Rules
-Easiest rule. Drive like you would IRL
-Keep on the RIGHT hand side of the road, this is america
-Stop at junctions and look for oncoming traffic
-Give way to oncoming traffic
-When driving don't drive off cliff's, hills, drops etc.. any kind of high fall is not acceptable, you wouldnt drive off a cliff IRL and then continue driving down the road, so don't do it here
-Do NOT ram into other people at full speed for no reason at all
-Park appropriately on the sidewalk edge/kurb NOT on the sidewalk
-Swurving across the road and knocking down lamposts is NOT acceptable nor RP, you will most likely get jailed for non-rp driving.
